The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology organized a Guest Lecture on 27.04.2024. This guest lecture titled, “Optimizing Productivity: Exploring Cutting edge Pipelining Techniques” provided a deep dive into advanced strategies for enhancing productivity in computer architecture through innovative pipelining techniques. The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Senthamarai Kannuswamy, Academy Head, Mahat Labs Pvt., Ltd., Coimbatore an esteemed expert in the field. The session began with an introduction to basics of computer architecture, MIPS implementation, fundamentals of Pipelining, Pipelining in processors, how to pipeline a digital system, Super-pipelining and Deep Pipelining, Dynamic Pipeline Scheduling, Speculative Execution and Out-of-Order Execution and Pipeline Hazards and Mitigation Strategies. This guest lecture offered a thought-provoking exploration of innovative strategies for maximizing productivity in computer architecture through advanced pipelining techniques. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of the principles, challenges, and opportunities associated with modern pipelining technology, as well as a renewed appreciation for its pivotal role in shaping the future of computing. Fifty one students of Electronics and Communication Engineering participated in this program and got benefitted.
