A guest lecture on the topic “Innovation & Creativity in New Product Development” was organized by the ECE and EEE associations . Dr.N.Devarajan, Dean(Research) delivered the welcome address. Dr.S.Anila, Professor/ECE, introduced the Resource Person to the gathering. The Resource Person was, Prof. Dr. S. Kumar Chandar, Department of Management Studies, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. The Resource Person insisted on product innovation and new product development. He also gave a clear insight into globalization and how the service economy shifts from inter-disciplinary to multi-disciplinary towards trans-disciplinary. Also, he explained how strategic thinking is possible when four generations work together. Prof. S.N.Sivanandam, Professor Emeritus presented the memento to the Resource Person. Finally, Ms. S.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor(Sl. Gr)/EEE, delivered the vote of thanks.
