The Student Induction and Orientation Programme for the First Year Students 2023-2024 has been conducted on September 15, 2023, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in Seminar Hall I, Dr. Uma Shankar Subramaniam, Asso.Prof./Renewable Energy Lab, College of Engineering, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was the Resource person, Dr. V. Chitra, Asso.Prof./HOD/Department of Science and Humanities was the convener, and Ms.D.Poornima, AP/EEE Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, was the coordinator for the programme and delivered Welcome and the Vote of Thanks for the session. The session was highlighted by the topic “Opportunities for Engineers and Expectations from Industry from 2025–2023.” The resource person has given justification to his topic. The comprehensive speech provided an overview of industrial applications and pictured the flow chart of embedded architecture system and control system software. The in-depth explanation of IOT attracted students’ attention.
