The Student Induction and Orientation Programme for the First Year Students 2023-2024 has been conducted on 15.09.2023 at 09.15am to 10.45 am in Seminar Hall I, Dr.S.Anne Susan Georgene, AP/ S&H, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the Resource Person, Dr. V.Chitra, Asso.Prof /HOD/ Department of Science and Humanities was the convener, Dr. V.Gopinath Manikandan AP/ S&H, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the coordinator for the programme and delivered Welcome and the Vote of Thanks for the session. The session was highlighted by the topic “Harmony in Self” the Resource Person has given the justification to his topic. The need of the Self is happiness (e.g. feeling of respect leading to happiness) while the need of the Body is physical facility (e.g. food). All the needs related to the Self are continuous in time while all the needs related to the Body are required for a limited time.  . The in-depth explanation the harmony in self attracted students’ attention.
